Traveling from LA to SC, our car decided to brake down. Luckily, it broke down in front of Tom's shop. While it was a few minutes after he closed, my wife called his number and he let us in. Our transmission was leaking fluid, so he checked to see if he had what we needed. He didn't, but knew who did and offered to take us, but our father in law had his car, so we drove our selves. When we got back, Tom grabbed us a funnel, so we could put fluid in. He also recommended the dealership to take it to, since it was still under warranty. All in all, over an hour after he had closed, he helped us out. He was very pleasant and helpful the entire time, never once did I get the feeling we were inconveniencing him. If I lived in ABQ, I'd go to him for my automotive needs. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! - Josh A. (5 star review on Yelp)
Great customer service. Driving through town, water pump seized, and they stayed late to get me back on the road. - S L. (5 star review on Yelp)
I was referred to this business by a previous Yelp review and I was not disappointed. Just passing through with a truck and a fifth wheel and needed work done on my truck. They were just fantastic, friendly, explained things and considerate of my need to find good parking for my rig. I wish they were in every town I pass through. BTW, they have wifi and a great place to be plugged in for your wait. - Alyssa B. (5 star review on Yelp)
Our daughter is going to school at UNM and we live in WA. Her car has broken down several times. They have taken such good care of her; it gives us peace of mind knowing that this auto repair place is honest to deal with and they fix the car right the first time! Everyone needs to take their car or truck to Tom Quirk. They are the best!!! - Gary (5 star review on YellowBot)
I have to drive 80 miles to get my car serviced here, but for significant repairs it is worth it. They charge what is needed but not more. Tom will tell you what service can be deferred if you can't afford it all. - Richard S. (5 star review on Google)
Always fair prices and good quality work. Christina F. (5 star review on Google)
What can I say? They actually made breaking down with a bad alternator and dead battery a pleasurable experience. Once my car was towed from Moriarity to the Baymont Inn and Suites in the middle of the night, I was devastated. I'm from Indiana and travelling with my elderly parents. The next morning I was referred to Quirks. I shopped around, of course, but Tom Quirk gave me the best price. I had the car towed to his place, and asked them to check the AC, as it was not working real well, either. They said they'd start the next day, and I took a nap. I missed their call during my nap that the car was already fixed!!! I called them back and they said to pick it up the next morning so they could make sure there were no more AC leaks. The next morning I arrived at Quirks afraid that this out of town girl was gonna pay dearly for a new AC compressor and a new battery as well as the alternator. NOPE, just a simple AC leak, they fixed the leak, charged the AC, recharged my original battery, replaced the alternator and all for UNDER $550.00. I was told by the man that referred me to Tom Quirks automotive that they were fair and very competent. They certainly are. Thanks guys. and you were also right about T or C...nothing there but a beautiful lake. - Zita M. (5 star review on Google)
Extremely honest people. They are very fast with the turnaround and no BS at any time. I highly recommend their service. - John P. (5 star review on Google)
